A valuable and continuing connection
The new College will become a highly valuable resource in supporting Emeriti Professors in transition into retirement. It will enable you to maintain a valuable connection with the University and to one another. We hope to provide opportunities to socially connect and to continue to promote lifelong learning amongst the College. Recognising that many of our Emeriti continue to engage with students and research, an early goal of the College is to provide a framework to assist in the continuation of research, teaching, and mentoring.

Celebrating 2021 Emeriti
The University of Western Australia Academic Board welcomed the appointments of fifteen Professors Emeriti at the annual Academic Board dinner in November 2021, bringing the total number of distinguished retired academics to well over 160.
In celebrating this momentous achievement, the 2021 Professors Emeriti have been featured on the new UWA Emeriti Professors website, sharing their variety of experiences at UWA, significant achievements throughout their careers and where they are going from here.

UWA email for life and Basic IT support
All Emeriti are eligible for a UWA email address for life and the current basic office applications. We want you to stay connected and enjoy the links to UWA.
IT equipment for active Emeriti
Many Emeriti remain active inside the university. If you are, please organise being a Senior Honorary Research Fellow (do ask if you need a hand). When this has been approved, you will receive continued access to UWA IT equipment and more advanced support.
Emeriti Professors College lapel pin
All Emeriti receive a College lapel pin. We hope you will proudly wear it around campus and beyond to be recognisable to staff and students as one of our Wisdom holders.
Invites to exclusive Emeriti Professors College social events
The College holds many social events throughout the year - these are for Members and very often for partners too. We hope you will make time for these wonderful collegiate events.
Breakfast Meetups at the University Club
Our seasonal Breakfast meetups take full advantage of the wonderful Perth weather for social contact between Emeriti. Held on the verandah of the University club, they have become a fixture on many people's calendars. We look forward to seeing you there.
Vice Chancellor’s Thank You Sundowner
Each year we hold a Vice Chancellors' thank you event for our Emeriti. The University knows its Emeriti are so important to the community and we value the contributions. This event acknowledges the amazing successes of the College Members.

At UWA, Emeriti get access to a unified health line. If you need help with anything administrative within the University, you email the help line and people will help. We want the relationship with the University to be smooth, painless and enjoyable.
Methodology for passing on computer access in case of incapacity
All Emeriti want to make sure if something happens to them their students and research has continuity. Please, if this is you make contact and we can guide you in setting up a process that will give someone (whom you choose) immediate access to your electronic materials (email and files) should it be needed.
